From Oak to Ohhhhh! :)

 Happy Monday! July is flying by and it's been exciting for me to see the updates on lots of remodeling projects of which I've been fortunate to walk along side of offering suggestions and guidance. 
Here are just a few shots of Missy and Jim's ranch remodel that she sent to me via text this morning. I'm heading over there sometime in the next few weeks after their new furniture is delivered to help with accessories and finishing touches, but wanted you to see the dramatic transformation of this kitchen. 
Unfortunately I don't think I took before pics of their bathrooms, but if Missy has some, I'll post those later. 
Take note in the "before" pic below-the flat router-ed oak cabinet doors, which didn't touch the ceiling, the laminate/formica counter tops, the small arched doorway.
Also take note, that we did nothing to change the footprint of the kitchen (layout) or change out the beautiful maple hardwood floors. 

 We left all the boxes and cabinet frames, but added a taller frame to the top to allow the new doors and crown molding to go all the way up to the ceiling. New backsplash tile and quartz counters. New faucet and hardware on cabinetry. This whole house feels brand new as all the baseboards and trim around doors and windows was replaced and painted Dove White. 
(I'll snap pics of that next time I'm there).

 New Master Bath cabinet doors and counters/tile. We kept the original layout (cabinet bases) in the master which were oak, but had new doors custom built and painted. New Quartz counters and framed the mirror. The flooring (tile) was recently replaced so we used that as our jumping off point in picking colors/counters/tile. The half bath vanity (above) was completely replaced as we wanted it larger with new granite slab, hardware and tile added.

I can't wait to see this all in person and will be sure to snap more pics of the additional rooms. This is the same house that was featured a few posts back with the ship lap on the fireplace surround. 

Here's a fun project that I just completed for a client who ordered it for his wife's bday. He found a small surfboard on Craigslist and had me custom paint it for her to hang on the exterior wall of their cottage. Definitely no longer functional, but super cute name for their cottage and a welcome marker for guests. 
I'm heading to Not So Shabby now to work on making room for some new big ticket items I'm bringing in later this week. I'll keep you posted on that. Have a great week!!
